Grown-Ups Grow Here, Too

Kindness grows stronger when children and caring adults explore together.

Sunshine Puppy School gives parents, teachers, caregivers, librarians, and community helpers welcoming ways to turn a story into a conversation—and a conversation into one small act of courage, curiosity, creativity, or care for the Earth.

There are no lectures, no pressure, and no expectation of perfection. Begin with a story, ask one honest question, notice something together, and choose an action that fits your day.

You do not need special training—only a little time and a willingness to wonder together.

A Simple Way to Grow Together

Read → Talk → Notice → Try → Create → Help

Read a story or revisit one meaningful moment.
Talk about what a character felt, needed, chose, or learned.
Notice where the same idea appears at home, at school, or in nature.
Try one small act of kindness, courage, teamwork, or Earth care.
Create a picture, note, invention, game, or new ending inspired by the experience.
Help someone—and celebrate the effort, not perfection.

The Five-Minute Version

Ask one question. Notice one thing. Choose one kind action.

The Deeper Adventure

Read together, explore the Eco-Verse, create something, and choose a family or classroom challenge to continue the lesson in real life.

Choose the Support That Fits Your Day

For Families
Bring one question to bedtime, a car ride, a meal, or a walk outside. Let the story open the conversation, then follow the child’s curiosity. A five-minute moment still counts.

For Teachers and Classrooms
Use character choices as read-aloud prompts, social-emotional discussion starters, writing or art invitations, nature observations, and gentle classroom challenges. Adapt every idea to your learners, setting, and available time.

For Caregivers, Librarians & Community Helpers
Turn shared reading into welcoming group conversations about belonging, courage, friendship, teamwork, and caring for the places we share.

Begin with One Small Question

“What did someone need—and how could we help?”

That question is enough to begin. Children do not need perfect grown-ups. They need caring people who listen, wonder, laugh, learn, and try beside them.

Start small. Stay curious. Celebrate every seed of kindness.
